I've heard that Fred Rogers had a pretty good sense of humor, so he probably got a kick out of it. On one of his shows some of the crew once put a blow up sex doll in his closet so that it was there to greet him when he opened the closet door at the beginning of the show. The practical joke cracked him up, and he didn't get mad or anything, so he probably wouldn't have minded the SNL bit.

I'm proud to have been able to call him "my neighbor".

I saw him one day waiting at a bus stop in Squirrel Hill. Yes, he rides the bus. He's a local legend 'round these parts.

Fred Was one of a kind.

But Mr. McFeely had to be on speed or something.

Happy Birthday, Fred!

America's favorite neighbor would have been 80 today. Today is Mr. Rogers day in Pittsburgh.

Wear a sweater.
