Has anyone ever encountered this error? I play games at Games.com, and this message comes up everytime disconnecting me from my games and driving me insane. So I always have to press OK, and then it reconnects. I have Windows Vista Ultimate, Norton Anti-Virus and this error comes up in both Internet Explorer 9 and Mozilla Firefox.

What is the solution? How do I stop this annoying interruption?

Private message me with some further details. Game or games involved, point at which the connection is severed, type of connection you have, are you using a proxy, what country and ISP.

I'll see what I can do to answer this for you.

Norton antivirus is blocking the outgoing connection. This most commonly occurs with mail or messaging programs where the antivirus is set to prevent mass mailings or has not been set to allow smtp connections. Sometimes ftp and other type connections get blocked too. You need to identify the connection being blocked and then set your antivirus to allow this connection. I suspect the culprit is a .Net 2.0 build game. You might try dumbing it down by uninstalling the Microsoft updates, I've had several problems with IE8 and .Net 2.0 updates on my XP sp3 machine.
