Stores will just round off prices to the nearest five cent decimal; its what happened in New Zealand when they abolished it. I have a huge Canadian penny from 1857 in my collection, when we were still just a crown colony of the British Empire. This thing is about the size of the old Canadian silver dollar (pre-1968), and its solid copper; they've just cut back on the size and metal composition ever since to save metal, it was only a matter of time until it just wasn't worth its salt.

Stock up on supplies.
No loss, I can't spend Canadian Pennies here anyway. Sometimes I can slip past a dime, but Quarters and Nickles have about the same value as those damn pennies. lol
However, it cannot be said they will not longer be making mistakes!
^ Was that a cheap shot at Canada Dude? Weak. Lame. Lame and weak. Next time try stealing one out of those one liner "Put Downs" books cause I'm ashamed to even post on the same site as you after that one! ;o)

BTW, were you a product of incest, cause you don't seem to bright and you're over compensating with ignorance?

Canadian "Silver" Dollar is now Cupro-Nickel.
They moved away from the coin being truly SILVER, because they wanted to rip you off and start inflation.

The day we move back to REAL GOLD AND SILVER coins in our pockets
(despite the extraordinary "inconvenience" of their weight)
is the day we start doing something about inflation.
