American men don't play soccer because we don't like it, not because we're not good at it. Other countries have soccer as their frickin national sports and their government recruits kids to represent them. In the US, soccer teams can't possibly compete (both because no one is interested and because there's no money to be made) with the other sports. So, all the best American athletes go into other sports. Btw, we call ourselves world champions at some sports because no one else can put together a team to match ours anyway. There are no leagues on the same level as the NFL, MLB, or NBA. Weltall, that's because Americans sports are just that....American sports. Around the world no one gives a fuck, they much prefer British sports like soccer and Rugby.
