I would love to drive at 45mph.
I would save huge amount of gas (run car/bus at idle) get to see where I am going, and no worries about getting fatally injured in a car accident.
I have gone over 150mph twice on highways. Why would you want to? if you want to test out your car/bike, just go to a track or a salt flat. I wanna get there relaxed and unhurried.

Today's cars can safely drive at such speeds on reasonably straight roads.
Speed limits are no longer of real use today, with the abilities of today's cars. The main purpose they serve is to fund the greed of the state and give pigs something to do. They should instead simply be speed suggestions.
On roads currently marked 40 MPH I can easily go 50 MPH and have a good amount of control.
