I'd like to get back into it, because it would be a great form of relaxation to me after a tough day. But time presses me constantly.

Not for me

Wee. I have cut down but mostly because of time.

I once downloaded a free trial version of Second Life. Not only did I get completely lost in that virtual maze, but a sleazy guy from Poland (I think) lured me into a nightclub and tried to slobber all over my nice virtual outfit. A mini-skirt and purple halter neck with skyscraper heels if memory serves. He probably mistook me for a stripper at that virtual establishment. Anyway I found the whole experience completely bizarre and was quite relieved when my time was up.

Yeah, my son and sister got me into them. The few I play are text based and probably pretty cheesy, but it's something to do when I don't have anything else to do online. And it's fun. I've been everything from a caveman, to a prisoner, to a fashion conscious bimbo who has to get a boob job to make it to the next level. lol

About once every two weeks or so on average, I hang around for a few hours in a simulation of a 1920s nightclub on Second Life. It's fairly well done & reasonably authentic, vintage clothing's strongly suggested if not required, and the music's from the era. I get a big kick out of it, but I couldn't imagine playing role playing games 4 or 5 hours day online every night as some do. I just don't have the free time...
There's also a more or less full-scale recreation of 1920s Harlem on Second Life, complete with a Cotton Club and Savoy Ballroom, but the whole place is curiously depopulated. I liked what they'd done with it, but no one was there.

Have, but had to give it up in order to keep up with real life.
