Well, actually quirk99, the uninsured (and they are a considerable number) do drive up health costs for everyone else, since the hospitals that are forced by federal law to provide them services have to make up for this considerable profit loss through paying patients and their insurers. So, yeah, they're also to blame.
This is why, believe it or not, I'd be for something like Medicaid for the uninsured to be subsidized by the federal government. What I am not for is Obamacare in its present form, nor especially for mandatorily-imposed individual insurance. The "Medicaid for the poor and uninsurable" should be an "opt in" not an "opt out" program.
