We all know what Road Kill is. Small animals crossing the road getting run over by cars.

I remember the old Batman TV show where they used to show comic strip like balloons on the screen during fights, with words like "bop", "bang", "crunch", "wack". "thud" etc. to describe the sounds when a punched was landed or somebody was knocked down.
