It happened to me a couple of times. Somebody in Hungary charged an Airline Ticket to my card. And I've had a couple incidents of retail purchases made using my card number.

The Airline Ticket incident was on my Bank Of America Card. They just sent me some papers to fill out and sign saying I didn't make the purchase, had met person whose name was listed, and had never been to Hungary and they removed the charge.

My Mastercard bank has contacted me a couple times about suspicious charges that were fraudulent. After I informed them I didn't make the purchase, they withdrew the charges, shut down my card and sent me a new one.

So have you ever been the victim of credit card fraud and how did your bank handle it?

After informing them that I did not make the charges nor been in there in years, they removed the charges and I received a new card.
