Why do you northerners havs a HUGE chip on your shoulder. As having lived all over this great country I can say without a doubt that southerners are the kindest people this world has to offer. I go up north every summer to visit close relatives, and the difference between the people is like night and day.
Come on now UNlucky, you can't be serious when you say Southerners are the KINDEST people in the world...It all depends on who you are will dictate if you are treated with kindness by some Southerners. You go to the North and the people are different as night and day...Well, if you are saying such things in their presence, how do you expect to be treated? There are places in the South that live individuals who are hate mongers and borderline SATAN children. I am not professing that all Southerners are what I describe, it would not be accurate nor true. I am quite certain there are Kind people in the South and North and to say that there are more in one place than the other is not only inaccurate, but also unfair to the one you are claiming is less kind. We Northerners aren't the ones with a chip on our shoulders, remember, it was the South that lost that famous war. Also, there are those who claim that Southerner women are more beautiful than Northern women and the Southern women are more mannerable. Everyone has a preference when it comes to what types one is attacked to. My preference and experience is that Northern women are more beautiful and are certainly the true definition of class.

It is very easy to see you are stuck in the 1950ies and 60ies with your opinion on the South. No doubt you probably get your opinion from The Jerry Springer Show. There was a 60 minutes special on a while back about the " new Migration to the South " Did you by any chance see it? It was about black people letting other black people know they should move to the South, and how the South has had a major change in the last 40 years. It was black people talking about how the South has become the best place in America for African Americans to live and live out the American dream. The people from the Northern states were saying how suprised they were about how much better they were treated in the South once they moved there then they were in the North. Morgan Freeman ( actor ) was one of them. He moved back to Mississippi after leaving many many years ago when it was bad and wanted to help spread the word.
There are still racist in the South, but there are in the North to. White people in the South don't all send our kids to private schools and leave the minorities in a run down public school system. here the public school system gets top priority and we all go to school together. Yes there are private schools in the South, but nothing like in the North eastern U.S.

i have never seen good looking southern women.southeners do not have manners.the worst service in america is by sotherners.according to a recent poll.the south has the most un friendly food service and retail service.i know this for a fact as well seeing as how i just came to arkansas from chicago and chicagoans are "the friendliest people"ive ever met considering how rude and hateful the people are here.
Oh goody its Barbara. Yes I am very seious when I say southerners are the nicest people on earth. Everywhere I go, i expect to be treated with kindness and respect and I always give it back to them. Northerners for the most part are different. I didnt say bad, I just said different. Northeners do stereotype southerners. I still go up north A LOT (to see relatives). I do like northeners. They are my fellow countrymen. Northeners do seem to have a chip on their shoulder at times (look at some of these ballots)
and although I think northerners are nice, southerners are generally nicer because they are more laid back and I like their general mannerisms. I don't feel that I "attacked" the north by stating my opinion. Northerners and Southerners ARE different.

I know. The way they talk is one of the many things I can't stand about these southern state MoFos. Not only that, but these dixie fuckers as I like to call them are some of the BIGGEST nosey, lying, 2-faced, uppity, LOUD AND LAZY-ASSES I have ever seen in my entire life. It is IRRITATING AS HELL to have them run their big LOUD mouths about the same old shit everyday... Oh well, the list is numerous. Remember, these are still the "slave states" at heart. I am shocked at the racism in the South, racism comes from stupidity, therefore Southerners are more stupid than Northerners. Just talk to one of them and hear that they do not use proper english,they have a warped view of religion, such as preaching that God hates Gays. God hates no one. Obviously, there are good and bad Northerners and Southerners, but stupidity seems rampant here. I am proud to be a Northerner, and no I will not go back to where I came from, because I am not the wrong one here.I am ashamed that our country gives Northerners a better education than Southerners.
you northerners need to wake up. I am a veteran of the U.S. army and I have been stationed all over the world including Europe and Asia and have lived all over the USA. I am currently living in upstate NY. I have never seen more racist, ignorant, and lazy, lying, cheating, stealing, rude, and obnoxious people than I have in upstate NY. My wife is from here And She has traveled with me and lived down south and even she has said the same thing. Even my black friends who live here have said they can't wait to go back south.
The south is just slow to catch up to the north. Education and industry wise, I'm from Memphis (yeah I know the Shitty City) & have to say what little we are taught down here is usually insulted because the students here are lazy, too busy with assaulting people and getting away with it because they play football(yea it happened to my friend), or knocking their whore girlfriends up to study or pay attention to anything a teacher says. I don't know about y'all but the part of Tennessee I live in sucks balls, maybe because I live in a small town on the outskirts of Memphis, I have to say, to me, where I live is the shitbox of the south. Rude people, no good women, too much drugs, & too much corruption among our elected officials, I mean the mayor of our town had a 16 year old mistress and got in a fight over her, come on, & the racism pisses me off because it's a bunch of old style pussy ass hicks who always wanna jump folk and not fight man to man, cause they know they ain't shit without a group, people are too clannish(quick to exclude) and stupid as dog shit here where I live, then again like I said its maybe just because I live in a small town
It all comes down to good decision making, self control, & parenting. That's what I think really messed the south up is because of the number of young mothers in the south, kids usually fall through the cracks end up being ignorant, undereducated, barely educated, join gangs, get abandoned, or quite simply give up and basically drift through life, looking for trouble to get into and end up in jail. It all comes down to the parenting.
